TechSkills and NepalTube Scholarship Program Terms and Conditions
1. Purpose of the Program
The scholarship aims to support motivated students who wish to build a career in information technology by providing training, mentoring and employment pathways.
2. Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be studying or have completed an IT related Bachelors or Masters degree
- Have a genuine interest in building a career in technology
- Demonstrate financial need and commitment to learning
- Be able to attend training in Kathmandu for the full program duration
- The scholarship is designed for deserving candidates who require guidance, support and opportunity to succeed.
3. Selection Process
The selection process includes:
- Online application
- Shortlisting based on merit, motivation and financial need
- Face to face interview and capability assessment
- Selection of eight students
- All decisions made by the selection committee are final.
4. Training and Attendance
Program structure:
- Duration: approximately sixteen weeks
- Mode: in person, Kathmandu
- Training: two days per week, four hours per day
- Lab access: available throughout the week for practice
5. Behaviour and Professional Conduct
Students must:
- Attend all scheduled sessions on time
- Show respect to mentors, staff and fellow participants
- Participate actively in training and assessments
- Demonstrate professionalism and integrity
- Avoid plagiarism or dishonest behaviour
- Failure to meet expected conduct standards may result in dismissal.
6. Job Opportunity
- The top two performing students will receive a job offer upon successful completion of the program
- Job offers are subject to performance, professionalism and attitude
- All students will receive active job preparation and support
- Job opportunities for top performers are guaranteed. Other placements are supported but not guaranteed.
7. Scholarship Value
- The scholarship covers the full training cost.
- No tuition fee is payable by selected students.
8. Withdrawal
- Students who withdraw must notify the program team in writing.
- Unjustified withdrawal may impact eligibility for future programs.
9. Confidentiality
All personal information collected during the enrollment will be used only for scholarship administration and will remain confidential.
10. Media, Recording and Content Permission
This scholarship includes a documented learning and selection journey similar to international educational and talent-based programs.
By applying and participating, applicants and selected students agree that:
- The application, interview and selection stages may be recorded
- Photos, videos and audio may be taken throughout the program
- Footage may include reactions, interviews, skill demonstrations and progress updates
- Recording applies to both selected and non-selected applicants
- Editing may include subtitles, music and storyline structure
- All content will be used respectfully to inspire and educate others
- All media created becomes the property of TechSkills
- This includes use on websites, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, streaming platforms and promotional materials.
Content Participation Requirement
- Participation in media and storytelling is a required part of this scholarship.
Respect and Dignity
- TechSkills will never intentionally portray applicants or students in a harmful manner.
- The purpose of content is educational, motivational and community building.
11. Program Changes
TechSkills may adjust program structure, dates, instructors or logistics if required.
Reasonable notice will be provided.
12. Acceptance
Submitting the application indicates full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and Media Consent.
